Why would SNL make jokes? That is just rude! : N.Y. Gov. Paterson

Bit of article:
A "Saturday Night Live" skit portraying New York’s blind governor as a bumbling leader didn’t get a laugh from Gov. David Paterson.
Paterson’s office said the skit ridiculed people with physical disabilities and implied that disabled people are incapable of having jobs with serious responsibilities.
Here’s the skit they’re referencing:
Seriously?!? Can nothing be funny anymore? This is a show that became popular by making jokes and more specifically jokes step outside of the box (in this case the box being political correctness)! You cannot have a show like this and tip toe around everybody that MIGHT be offended.
I wonder…if it had been an actual blind person making the jokes would it have been funny then instead of offensive? Give me a break, for them to say that the skit "implied that disabled people are incapable of having jobs with serious responsibilities" is just ridiculous. This show brings out and takes advantage of every little detail of the lives of so many public figures and exploits them in a way that their audience can laugh about it.
Oh your right, SNL used to be funny…that is until someone’s feelings got hurt…*sigh* By the way, just in case you haven’t been watching, SNL also implied that people from Alaska, Scranton, War heroes and US Senators aren’t capable of Presidenting and Vice Presidenting…..(and no I wasn’t just making fun of idiots who don’t know how to speak English)
Vowing to never again watch TV again! (and planning to break that vow by watching Heroes tonight),
